There are several ways you can integrate the Friendly Analytics Starter tracking into your site. Below, we will show you how to integrate it into WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, and any other website system.
If you use WordPress, you can simply use the “Connect Matomo” plugin. To do this, click on Plugins in the WordPress dashboard and select the “Add new plugin” button at the top:
Please enter “Connect Matomo” in the search field at the top right and install the plugin (author: André Bräkling):
Make sure that the plugin is activated after installation:
Now go to the plugin settings under Settings > Connect Matomo:
Please select “Self-hosted (HTTP API, Standard)” under “Matomo Mode”.
For “Matomo URL”, please use:
<https://app.friendlyanalytics.ch/>
Enter an “Auth Token” so that the plugin can identify itself to Friendly Analytics.
